This is what I took to the show for I.D.
I found this in a field where I’ve found artifacts. It had plow damage on it just lines. I showed it to Jerry Dicky and 2 other experienced people at different times. All 3 said the same thing. It was being shaped but never was finished. It’s Greenstone which I usually don’t find it in raw form. To me it doesn’t show much pecking but to the 3 guys who looked at it they all said the same thing. Jerry said it was the 1st Celt preform he had ever seen.

No signs of being worked or used, and picture it appears to be a softer stone.
Yeah it was a good faker fooled 3 collectors including me. I started having doubts that’s why I posted it here. I appreciate the comments and know how difficult it is to admit when a person with knowledge can make a mistake.

Could be wear and tear on the ends, and good useable size imho. Might be natural, but none of us were there so may well could have been a tool also.

I'd call that natural and have found two discarded celts with obvious pecking made from hard greenstone.
I’d agree natural. I have found 2 complete Celts and some broken ones. The texture is very grainy on the cortex so I’m not against it being some type of abrading stone but not enough evidence to support it.
