Yep, 9 News says 5 day Pin Point Weather Alert days, mostly due to cold, and mostly for the front range. I don't think we're really supposed to get that much snow here. Holiday weekend too.

Yesterday was absolutely warm and sunny. Today the weather is forecasting dangerously cold temperatures for the next 96 hours.

Wind chill expected to hit -56 degrees on Colorado peak amid 4-day 'arctic blast'

Nice photo
That is right bone chilly those temperatures.

Yeah it's a Friday and beginning around noon today it'll be pandemonium at the grocery stores. I probably should make a run after some eggs here real soon, before there's nothing left, but only cartons with broken eggs.

Go first thing in the morning for those eggs, TR. We're not getting near what we order, and they're pretty much gone after 5pm. That Colorado cage free law and the bird flu has a lot to do with that they tell me.

I might just need to do what the neighbors do and keep five hens in the backyard. I feed them at times they go away and there's anywhere from 3 to 5 eggs on average every morning to gather. I went to Walmart today and noticed they are now offering half cartons there now. That was something every store use to do, but I haven't noticed it being offered in awhile it's seems. Walmarts eggs are priced just as high at over $7 a dozen same as KS and Safeways are. I didn't know CO had some kind of law against caged eggs.

Yeah they passed a law effective Jan. 1st that all eggs sold in Colorado must be cage free. Suppliers had plenty of notice and tried to get up to speed before that. But the demand does pretty much exceed the supply at times it seems. I don't know how that bird flu really affects us. I know we order a lot more but we get what they send us. Walmart never had the half dozen eggs before, but City Market and Safeway always did. We have been getting a little more lately, but man we just have a ton of people here and hard to keep in stock.
