The Black Swamp Metal Detecting Club meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month April through September. Meetings are held at Harrod Park in Harrod, Ohio (about 10 miles east of Lima). Meeting time is 6:00 P.M.
Our October meeting is a dinner for our spouses. It is our way of thanking them for letting us do what we like to do and that's metal detect 24/7.
Club dues are $10. Our membership at this time is 25 members. We have 50/50 drawings at each meeting to help support club activities, payment of building use and buying items for club hunts.
We usually have two seeded hunts per year and try to have another club hunt if we have a location. Our September hunt is a Plot Hunt. In this way, each member, no matter how skilled they are will be able to find every target in their plot. Every plot has the same number of targets. All plots have tokens in them for prizes.
