lady on the bench fer sure :icon_thumright:, is the dude facing left or right :dontknow::dontknow: better chance of getting a date from Kate Upton or Whoopie than this coin :laughing7::laughing7: tried mineral oil, then hot peroxide with no help, then the tried & true electrolysis. coated it with beeswax to enhance what little is left of details :BangHead: back today to hit the high ground that is a bit drier, tired of that sucking sound as I walk the soaked dirt :BangHead: IMG_4048.JPGIMG_4049.JPG

Bust facing left... I believe!

Nice!

looks that way to me too--- TY CT

Geo II, maybe....

more info to chew on__________too big for a farthing, about 2 MM smaller than a halfpenny (also thinner). I am leaning toward CT or VT Colonial :dontknow:. FMERG got 2 CT coppers from this farm.

I can see Geo II head, so maybe a counterfeit halfpenny.

too tough to call definitively imho. I see a geo ii obverse (I see a distinct piggy eye), but without deeper comparison could be persuaded towards a Connie based on the reverse. Left facing Vermont bust is a stretch based on scarcity alone, but the details don't evoke a Harmon mint coin to my eye.

A fun find and a productive field!

Yea, that's an ugly example of a 1743 King George Copper.....
Yes, clearly, it's a 1743.....congrats!8-)

After seeing the pictures i am sure it is a 1787 mailed bust connect
