Is this another version of the cavern system located in the mountain known as Santo Nino de Atocha, and hawked for years by the group known as the Codebreakers?

I did a little Internet research on your Santo, etc. Interesting, but I cannot connect the two stories, at all. I'm certain that there is NO connection.

You won't find anything on the net regarding this mountain. As far as a connection goes ... who knows?

By the way, solicitations for 'recovery funding' are usually looked at skeptically, ESPECIALLY for projects in the Caballo Mountains, which I'm guessing the 'Benavides' story originates. However, if you ARE looking in the Caballos, I wouldn't waste too much energy unless the search area is somewhere near N32d 56m, W107d 14m.
