We went down to California for Thanksgiving, We metal detected on Thanksgiving day along with Black Friday. The first day we metal detected around an old home site in my grandparent's 50-acre field. Detecting for about an hour I found a silver half, a 1905-S Barber Half Dollar; My first one!!! I also found some other odds and ends. The next day I found a Chinese coin around my grandparent's house! then my grandpa took us to an old home site in the valley. I found some suspender clips, but my brother found a great find! He found an 1850-1865 Civil War Calvary Button. Living in Oregon, we don't find much Civil war artifacts. This was a great find! What a great couple of days metal detecting!

I’ve seen a lot of Barber Half’s here lately, but not under my coil.:dontknow:
Congrats!

I've never found a cavalry eagle button. Yours is in beautiful condition, congrats. Btw, there are civil war/Indian war relics in Oregon

Some good stuff there. Congrats! I love the design on the barber coins.

Nice finds, Congratulations! :occasion14:
