Prospecting
Well I rose early this Morning. My brother and I wanted to do a little prospecting in some of the other little creeks around the area and better get to know it.. The day was awesome the weather was great..Other then having to hike buckets of water from the truck to provide a panning station everything went well.. We never got on to any good gold mostly fly poop but we really didn't have a lot of time as we were due for dinner at Three.. And then again at 6.. I'm hella stuffed..Well we did a lot of walking and exploring and loved every minute of it. The morning passed to quickly.. We put up our Christmas tree today.. Anyway I hope everyone had a great day..

Looks like you've found treasure in some of the antiques in that awesome time capsule of a cabin! Thanks for sharing your new home away from home with us.

Time capsule cabin is right ! Looks like it covers late 1930's to 1961. I would still be there, sittin on the porch, reading the old mags , lables on cans, everything.

I found an old trailer in middle of nowhere once. Had same kind of stuff, but many toys - got a little melancholy thinking what uprooted them so suddenly.

Good vids again MM. Somebody put a lot of work into that homestead. I'll bet there was a story involved getting that heavy stove there. Sure would like to take my metal detector out there.
40 years ago, I found a small cabin. Like FP says, I would still be there checking things out. They used newspapers to insulate the walls. The visible layer showed dates from the early 20's. As you peeled it away, the dates went further back. It is an odd feeling when you find/enter something like that and a memory I will always treasure. Thanks for the memories you inspire in me too!

Wow, if the walls could talk. Makes the mind wonder, the place looks like the occupant(s) intended to return. Best unstaged intact contents and cabin I've seen. I'm amazed people, critters, and the weather haven't taken a bigger toll. Hope you can work something out with BLM to preserve it or allow a museum to care for the contents.
You indeed live a charmed life Mr. Marshall. Watched a bunch more of your videos yesterday, thanks for taking the time to put them together they are very enjoyable.
