20140304_142936.jpgThought the atpro might have been acting up before I packed it up for the winter. It was making choppy sounds as if it was still sounding off on things ive discriminated out so I called garrett and no questions asked 3 days later a brand new coil arrived!

That is Garrett's customer service for you! Too bad all companies are not like this. When they say they stand behind their product, they are not joking. They go above and beyond what they have to for their customers. I am a salesman for new and used cars and have had to call other manufactures for questions or problems that used cars have for customers. I get the run around or a BS excuse . Garrett never will BS you or dodge questions. If they had a grammy award for customer service Garrett would need a museum for all the trophies they would win! Congrats and I hope you are back to beeping in no time :)

From the very first days, near to 40 years now, until now. Everything about the company has done nothing but impress me.
The support, the equipment, the people, etc. Has always been superb!

And, no, I do not work for them. LOL

I had to send back my pinpointer, no fuss, sent back toot sweet, no BS, no questions, and no charge. I love my AT Pro, no problems. I think Garrett will be the only Co. I ever deal with?
 

Just recently I sent my Garrett pro pointer to have the on off switch replaced. I fully expected to pay for the repair as the unit was several years old an very well used. To my surprise, Garrett replaced the pro pointer with a brand new one totally free of charge. What a great company. I will never use any other equipment. Thanks Garrett!
 

2 weeks ago, I sent my Infinium LS for repairs....Garrett completely went over the unit (replaced battery springs too!) and fixed my issue. Returned it to me at no expense for postage, and I was charged a very reasonable amount for the repair. I have dealt with Garrett for 33 years and have always been satisfied. Go Garrett!

Yep, that Groundhog listed in my equipment? Bought over 35 years ago and know what? It still works!! And well! LOL
 

Ive been looking for a new detector and after reading all this Garrett will sounds like the one to me.

Back in the 70s my dad had a Radio Shack detector, it was aluminum handle and had a big green box with a speaker. When I was around 11 he bought a Groundhog from a Pharmacy and I couldn't believe the price. (I think it was like $170) and I remember thinking that I could never go into detecting because I wouldn't ever have $100 to my name. Of course, as a kid I thought anyone with $100 was super rich. He still has the detector somewhere. I remember that to me it was like a spaceship with all the knobs.

I had the same exact experience when I bought a 5x8" coil. They just sent me a new one and even returned my call when I left a voice message. I have a Pro Pointer that is collecting dust because it started acting up right from the start that I need to send in.
 

Yeah i will have to say Garret customer service i never hear bad things about. surely a great company to go with!
 

Good people to deal with.. They also replaced a coil for me. No questions ask. Quick service...

My Mark ll is screaming when I put it in standard mode so I have been using it in the higher discrimination mode and turning up the sensitivity.. it works fine like that but I'm coming into treasure hunting season for southwest Florida and need it to be operating 100%.
The unit is out of warranty, I don't mind paying to get it repaired. It's around 2 years old but I've used it a lot.
I'll post my satisfaction after I get it back.
