Have been detecting early 1920 park that when built just covered over the site of an 1860's era farm house.

My electro tank is doing its job check the before and after of an early cast iron rim lock door latch.

Mystery relic next looks great out of the tank and looks like some kind of 6 by 1.75 inch channel spout. Close by recently found small gear piece that looks like part of old cider press.

However totally unable to spot this item anywhere on the net. Simple answer just part of the cider press or am I missing something?

36Coupe, perhaps you have answered your own question when you said it was found close to an old cider press. It appears you've found the spout to the press.

:) You're welcome.

Now, how 'bout a pic of your 36 coupe?

Maybe zap that gear with your electrolysis method and maybe find some markings on it to help in the I.D. process.
