Tha Dawg House

Well I have a lot to ask and show but I'll start with today's find.
Was walking back from the shop and a spot on the other side of the drive has had my mind wondering. After reading about y'all using probes for finding things I thought no way of using one around here. To dang rocky, then the light bulb went off. It wouldn't be as rocky at the privy.
So I had a 3' old fiberglass antenna and walked across the drive to check my spot. Sure enough I sank it. Believe I have found a second privy on the property 🤠

Today's question 1. Been reading up here and a bottle forum about diggin these old holes.
Sifter comes up a lot. But no details, very few pics. No biggie, simple enough. I would just like some opinions on screen size. 1/2" or 1/4"? Both for dual stage?

Nice fossil and real nice frame.
Thanks buddy, made the frame the other day as a joke. Told the wife look I'ma be millionaire😁
I'm inviting selfie frames😂🤣😂 I took a bunch of pics of our 3mo and the wife laughed and said "how sad"
It's was my first time playing with cedar limbs🤘

I need to build a hide stretching frame and that was part of my first prototype, wasn't really making a selfie frame🤔

Well I read this, so I took a picture.
Built these 11yrs back out of stuff laying around the house build.
20.5" × 20.5"of sifting area.
The left is 1/2", the right is 1/4".
Just used strapping for the frame, the handles were off the patio window crates.
Truss plate joiners, mesh left from concrete/animal barriers.

Found a pit late yesterday.
It's a dig/sifting affair.

Unchained melody....
I just realized that it could throw a thought or 2 into the mind, reading and only seeing 1/2 the picture. :laughing7:

Still would like them on a set of swing legs, even propping them on an angle helps the sifting, or over an elevated container.
Even though the handles are 25" apart, a 10lb shovel of dirt, lifting, shaking it down, gets old after a hour or so.
Need easy now, as old gets to be the base of laziness.

Was looking at a potato washer the other day and thinking out of the box-kind of a Hamster wheel looking affair.

A two person team on one screen, trading off, one digging, one sifting works well. By myself, a lot of effort. I was in a creek, though, sifting mud, sand and gravel, looking for fossils. The water makes it much faster. If you can situate a tub of water near your digging, you can slosh the screens in it. Or use a hose. Way faster. Gonna be a mess, though, on land. Just a thought.

Lone wolf.
So option 1-nope.
Water, big creek nearby, pack water- nope.
Dirty up running water, the 🌳 huggers will string ya up.
Clay + water = mess.
Dry sifting is the best way.

Just need to build one of those lazy Arcie. type sifters.

50ft roll of 1/4"steel mesh x 24" is now nearly $95.00.
Bloody robbers

Green glass, everytime I find green glass I smell "cam-fo-fa-nec", no clue on spelling just a childhood memory.
In my head
Somethings just rent space.
A towel that has that hasn't dried properly.
Dirty dish rag syndrome. :laughing7:
