This is a 14k gold pin that I've had for about 15 years. The man I got it from
found it in a purse pocket at a local thrift shop.
Anyone have an idea on how to find where this 'Mrs Ewell" taught in 1933?
I've gone thru local city directories in my area and have come up empty.
I'd like to know some 'history" on this pin.

Mrs. Ewell may not have been a teacher. She may have been the donor of the pin or scholorship.

Try the 1930 & 1940 census records for the county. If she was there for the census it should list her occupation.

Perhaps a lead is there is a Marjorie Morris Ewell b. 12/9/1902 d. 8/6/1980 who is listed as a teacher in the 1940 Census for Anderson, TX. She is listed in google books for this publication:

An Improved Reading Program in the Carver High School, Frankston, Texas - Marjorie Morris Ewell - Google Books

Her daughter Yvonne became very prominent in the Dallas school system and a magnet school is named for her:

Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Magnet Center - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
