Hi All: Today I got a chance to do a direct test with the ATP

a month ago I carfully detected a portion of a local ball field/park using the ATP in Std-Coin mode
did well and got about 15 coins.

Today I Ran the same piece with the ATP in PRO-Zero (Little or No activity on the field)

Every hit was below 6” most reading 8-10” ( my depth readings seem to be about 2” long)

A cpl. Times I remembered to switch back to std-coin before digging and got NO tone ////

PRO ZERO is the way to go PERRY

Congrats! Pro zero descrim around 30-31 is THE way to hunt the Garrett AT Pro in must situations. its an AMAZING machine for the $!

STD mode should have NEVER even been an option on this machine, But I guess it was for the people that miss the Old Belltone from the ACE 250 :laughing7:

Great Post Perry!

Yes I bay pass the std mode as well as soon as I picked it up to try ! The pro mode gives so much more info them the ding dong, but I do put it on std mode when my 8 year old daughter wants to use it, btw... It's her 8th bday today!!!

I never even tried to learn it in the Standard Mode. My previous detector was a Tesoro, so the transition was easy for me.
