tesoro tiger shark has steady tone

I used my tesoro tiger shark with hard mounted coil with no problems one day.. Following day turn it on fine, goes thru battery check fine and then the steady tone stays on. Anyone know what could have caused this or whats going on. Batteries were all checked and were good. thanks for any input
