Howdy all. I found this a few days ago at an 1880's home site.

It looks Victorian Era but without a back mark....

Does anyone have an idea on the origin and vintage of this thing?

very nice button, somewhere here,is a list of co. that made those type of buttons
im not pos but i would think it came from the players dress like this one

I like it. Without looking at where you found it, it jumped out late 1800s to me. Cool looking button.
