Technical Question

It is not so much the sweep speed as the size coil in the type ground you are searching. For instance, using a large coil in bad ground a slower sweep speed will help get better coverage and allow the detector to use it's discrimination circuits more effectively. If you swing the same coil to fast, you won't get max use of the detector in the type ground you are hunting. In ground with less minerals you can swing fast with either size coil. Even with proper GB the detectors operation depends more on the amount of minerals and how fast they vary.

I know the above sounds screwy, but there is no hard and fast rule. The only thing that remains basic is a large coil swung quickly will tire you out faster......
