Hey everyone I picked up my first three dime boxes since being back in my hometown and will post the results later. There is one thing I am noticing and have some questions for you all.. How is your TD bank penny arcade at being correct with the counting.. Almost every time I dump, my totals are about 3-5 dollars below what I should have.. I normally shrug it off, but those numbers can really add up fast. So much so that I am now thinking of just opening an account with wells Fargo for dumping.. What are your experiences with TD penny arcade counting? Also would you recommend wells Fargo for dumping? I know it's a big convenience to have tons of coin counters around me, but I can't stand losing anymore money to false counting

Mention something to them. I usually eat about a buck per box dumping... it's just part of the game for me.

Just mention it to the bank, not to be a pain, but to see if they can do some calibration on their machine or something. Tehy might want to be aware of it in case other customers start to complain. Our penny arcade is not that much off. Sometimes it's dead on & sometimes it's slightly off but usually less than $1 off so it's not a big deal at all. We also usually dump our CWR's in the penny arcade so it may just be that the CWR's were off to begin with.

mention to the tellers at td bank that your coins were counted short, specify which denomination, they will send out the bag for "re-count" and 2-3 weeks later you'll be reimbursed.

The TD's I use are not off by that much, try pouring them in slower, sometimes this helps. I was off $25 or so one time and they did not beleive me. I persisted and they sent the bag out for a recount. I got my $25 back and it was all good.

I got a half roll this last weekend with only $7.50 in the roll, off by 5 coins and it was a BWR. The box was a skunk too so I lost $2.50. Oh well, its going to happen sometimes.

Thanks for the tips everyone.. I guess I'll try to pour them even slower than I do.. If a big miscounting happens then I will say something but I'm not going to bring it up to the tellers for a short amount... I am dumping ridiculous amounts of coins there and it's obvious the tellers hate it.. It's tough because TD is the only bank around that has a coin counter..

I had a TD Bank penny arcade be off by $30 in dimes. After I finished the manager came over and dumped in some rolls of coins: cents, nickels, dimes, and quarters. It should come up to $17.50 but it didn't, it came up short. I asked the manager and she told me should put extra coins in?! Then how come it came up short? I don't go to that branch anymore.

Wells Fargo miscounted me out of 70 bucks so don't count on them...

Wow... Yea that is not cool at all.. Did you say anything to them or just let it go? I guess after you send them away there isn't much you can do. I still think I am going to have to get a new dump bank because I am planning on starting up halves again.. I ordered two boxes this week from my pickup and seriously cant stand dumping them at TD. Every time the teller just has to stand there and change the bags out numerous times.. Halves are what get the TD tellers really hating you..

Yea I pushed it as far as I could at the branch level. Still debating on wether or not I want to take it up a notch with an email to corporate, but doubt I will because I can't afford to lose my WF pickups over 70 bucks as I haven't got anybody else ordering for me. I'm just not going to dump haves in bags anymore. Seems like the best solution...

I've had two whole rolls (yes, $20,) missing from sealed half boxes before. It's happened a total of three times in the last two months.

I got a Loomis box of halves and it was short one roll one time. They gave me my $10 back because I checked the box in the car in the parking lot. I showed them the box and they hooked me up. Now anytime I get coin from them they verify the roll count before I leave.

Thats why I like the flat boxes, you can verify the roll count in a few seconds by looking through the holes.
