I dug these brass Tallio cufflinks today at an old site. I know they are fairly common, but a first for me. Personal relics are great. I'm guessing 1790's on these based on other finds at the site, maybe a little later. Sound right?

your idea of Fairly Common and mine is a difference between night and day.

Very cool find, never seen or heard of them before.

Nice cufflinks, think you are right. Very cool find, hope you find the other one ;) HH!

I really like the look of those links. Still looking for my first set. Congrats!

VT-er, those are amazing! And I bet a hound lover would pay a pretty penny for them. Lovely condition. Congrats! -Lisa & John

As common as hen's teeth. Congrats on the great looking set of links.

Id say a few get found every year ---but not common
nice find

Absolutely gorgeous links. You're spot on with the date plus/minus 20 yrs. Congrats

Thanks all. Sorry, I was referring more to the fox hunt design as being fairly "common" or popular on cufflinks and buttons from that period. I'm thrilled with these. Believe me, I know that no colonial relic is "common" per se :) These were a real tiny beep too. I got lucky. Thanks again.

Yes fairly common although I only have 1. 1790s is about spot on. They look in better than average condition so thats a bonus.

I really like that they are intact.

Excellent find sir!

That's a nice linked pair. I have dug three or four of them, but all singles. I would say they were at the height of their popularity during the 1790s.
