it's been a hawhile since I posted on TNET for a reason that shall remain--- for now-- a secret

still at it wit da ATPro, and a quiet fall jaunt to a forest in Kingston NY with diggin buddy FMERG has been lucrative--- if ya like findin' lucras :tongue3:

my 1st hole for the outing was a long lost mid 1800's cache of 22 Seated halves, a DBHD, & seated qtr.--- all scattered in a pit down 8-10". took a half hour to extract from the rocks & roots. after gazing at the photos--- bear in mind--- I am NOT the luckiest digger in NY for the day-----so don't protest, cry, curse me or send mean emails sayin' you could have dug this virtual (that will make sense after you see the coins) honey hole of a find:BangHead::BangHead:

Real or not that is an awesome find! Congrats! :icon_thumleft:

That's a sweet find, counterfeit or not. I like fake coins because they are made specifically to deceive people, there is ill intent in the heart of that person!

Good show.

coins were field tested and are not silver
weight of coins is 9 grams or so should be a little over 13 grams on the halfs
and A2coins Rich has all the luck...just happens to be bad luck.....

I keep hearing the "Wide World of Sports" Theme music....."the agony of defeat" What an emotional roller coaster!!

Still an amazing find in my book

Curious if it is not silver, what is the metal?

Nice finds even if they are fakes! One would have to suspect that a Counterfeiter/Faker of Coins was hiding the evidence of his or her activities due to Law Enforcement being hot on their trail.

Although not the real thing those are pretty amazing. I would be really happy to find those!

Congrats!! Must have been a super buzz. Good luck in your future hunts there.

I would love to know the history of the "maker" of those fakes. Bury the evidence before the feds show up.
Nice find.

thanks bigly, CT. ill intent is peaking recently like the autumn leaves :laughing9:

Fake or not it's still cool.

Hmm, very interesting find. I'm sorry it wasn't the real deal - this time. I would've peed myself.

all items fail all silver tests.
a few of the Sunday diggies, also got 3 memorials :laughing9:IMG_8351.JPGIMG_8354.JPGIMG_8355.JPG

Fake or not, take your heart meds...that was a great find(s).

Very interesting and I still think an amazing find. Any idea what the metal is? Gotta pic of one of those nicer ones sitting right next to a real half? I assume that they are a little larger in diameter than real halves? Thanks for posting.

Nice !!! Interesting!!!! Congrats!!!!
