Well, I had just gotten done posting my finds from today below when I pulled out this little piece that I had forgotten about.
I was walking along eager but VERY patient for a great find, much in the same way as John Walter
When, all of a sudden, the BEAU-TI-FUL Whites "treasure detecta" rang up as +75
BUT since I was tuned into the Civil War relics, minie balls and brass that I was hunting and SINCE this piece was small and fragile, I put it separate of the heavy lead bullets and kinda forgot about it...
WELL,
I just pulled it out of my pocket and wiped the face with some soapy water and a CROSS is staring back at me! WOW, this is a nice surprise for sure.....and my first Spanish Half-Reale Cob! I've dug the milled ones and bigger cobs but this my first Hammered half-reale Spanish ....
