So I got out today to a foundation I haven't been to in a while, it was too overgrown to hit the spots I wanted to, but anyway I went around the yard a little bit and got some small stuff and then this popped up, I think it's silver. It hit between a dime and penny do I dug it and it has a claw on the back so it could catch the strap, I don't know how old so if anyone could give me some info that would be fantastic.. Thanks

Think you are right on the suspender clip or something in that nature! Maybe even came off like a back-pack or something. Don't know but my guess would be about 1920s-1940s. If you are digging lot of old pennies @ the site you can match up those dates too the other artifacts you are digging out of the spot. Good luck with it.

I'm thinking 1910's because I found my 1911 dog tag there a 1906 barber dime and a 1902 Indian head so anytime around there.. Still not sure of the material, almost sure it's silver but why would they make it out of silver?

My guess is that it is from the 1920's and it is not silver but silver plated brass. I've dug several just exactly like yours and they are all plated.
