Here's a matching pair, found the second one at the same homesite as the first. Had just said to BBoy, that it's funny how we never find a matching pair at any of the homesites we hunt. Then after 10 months we revisited the site for the third time and boom, my matching pair came true. Then we have the others I have found.

This would go nicely with your set..

Thanks Buckleboy! Here in Wa State we don't find pre 1900 suspender clips, only 100 years of history where I'm at... I was amazed to see the shift to small clip suspenders at the turn of the century... I have found 30 different designs which most are matching sets if not multiple sets of the same design (burned row of bunkhouses in logging camp) and I never found a old design suspender clip or a single wobble shank button. I can appreciate the history of suspenders more through posts like this one...keep em coming.

Hi Guys,
I found this old clip. I'm not sure if its suspenders or garter. Notice the design has a "V", Fleur de Le, "G". Any ideas as to what time period and what kind would be greatly appreciated.
