Went back to the fields with my Whites MXT while my DFX is being repaired. Forgot just how sensitive the MXT is when its cranked all the way up. Walking along the edges of the fields a weak high-low broken signal. I took an 8 inch divet out and scanned the hole, a loud high signal, it was still in the hole. I thought soda can slaw. Another 8 inches it was out of the hole. I used my pin pointer to knock away the dirt and I couldn't believe my eyes, lettering as clear as day, picture time. I pulled it from the pile and immediately started talking to myself, I think I was answering myself to. What a Georgie... The big decorative blowhole button is the largest and only decorative one I have found to date. arty

sweet copper!
don't see them coming out of the ground very often like that here in NY.

That is the most beautiful field copper that I have ever seen. Please do not clean it. Awesome hunt!

Wow what a flipping amazing coin Arty. That is so beautiful and in such good condition. Glad to see it ended up in your pouch! Going to try my luck tomorrow with my new T2.

Awesome copper

Wow. The ground was nice to that coin.

Gotta like the condition of that King George II copper .. 270 + years old and it looks like it was minted yesterday . Wish they all came out of the ground looking that good . Great hunt and digs Arty

I'd a bought you a beer for that one.

They always look so nice coming out of loamy sand/soil. Major congrats! Won't need any further cleaning. Looks stunning.

HH, Mark

Thanks all. I'm still in disbelief that I found one in this condition. The oldest coin to come out of this field was an 1851 flying eagle penny, found by SouthJerseyJim. I wasn't expecting this oldie to show its face. Back to beating the brush today. Look out can slaw here I come... Arty

Based on condition alone this belongs on the banner! Can't remember seeing one posted in such nice condition.

Thanks romeo-1. It is the nicest dug early copper I have had the pleasure of looking at. The picture just doesnt do it justice compared to holding it in the sunlight. The detail is incredible, WOW... Arty
