Hello all...
Let me start out by saying I took a huge step yesterday in purchasing a used MXT-300 from my new buddy Max, in SW Mo. He was nice enough to meet me for a little introductory hunt and to try to get me started right. I watched him pull a couple bullets with his E-trac, then he politely found a good target and made me take it over. I dug my first 54 cal bullet and was literally thrilled.
This detector is definately a totally different level from my Ace 250. I could tell immediately that I was going to be very happy with this machine, after the painful learning process. Anyway, this machine has a Sun Ray probe on it... another something to get used to. The Sun Ray looks like new because Max had a neoprene cover over it for it's entire life. That neoprene sleeve was not included in the deal, so I'm using it "bareback", so to speak.
Can anyone give me some direction on what they've used to protect their pinpointer? I know a 3/4" pvc cap works, but I'd kinda like to find something like the neoprene that was on it... Just hoping someone could save me some time and aggrevation.
Thanks for your help...
