Only got out for 2.5 hours at the weekend, & on my own as Dad was away. Thanks to Land-Mag for the last effort on the 'Brooch Field', we thought Thursday was our last but we squeezed another visit ;D

Its one of the few areas that finds are double that of the rubbish/trash. Its pretty much Roman or nothing 8)

22 Roman Bronze Coins - 2 OK Album additions.
3 Roman Fibula - 1st C AD Hod Hill Type - pretty early for our area :)

Next week its going to get tough :P

I was thinking the same thing. Prime that place up for the weekend...and for Dad.

Roman or nothing...hard for many of us (me for sure) to wrap our heads around that.

That is a lot of oldies for a short (alone this time) hunt. :icon_thumleft:

Just the normal phosphate type, as far as I know.

Can't do it at the weekend, as the crop will be too high.

some nice bits, suppose you will be on pasture for a while, until the crops are off

Problem is, out of the thousands of acres we have available virtually none is pasture. Any small bits of grass have been done many times over the years which gives me no reason to think its worth it. However, I do know of about a couple of acres of pasture we haven't tried yet, so fingers crossed.

OK, I have to ask......what is your avatar now? Looks pretty Saxon to me, but may be more 13th century?

Pulling stuff out of the ground that old is just amazing to me :notworthy:

Its a big deal to get something from the 1600s here
