Another gorgeous day dawns bright and sunny…. 😎 so off we head to the fields, the recently planted seed is beginning to sprouts so our days are numbered here. So many fields we still need to get in, but for now, we are loving these.
Let me start you off with a simple but gorgeous little decorative piece, then another, next pic is the back of both so you can see the attachment.. then a sadly damaged crotal bell, the ugly lump was once it’s ringer, then a strange one, the back is very corroded (?) then some buckles, tiny loop and lead square, assorted leads shapes, 2 musket balls, top of thimble, huge pot leg, strange chunky bit, huge bit of plate (I think these bits I describe as plates are made of a bell metal type metal) this is the biggest I’ve found, it was 83 on the Deus and deeper than my pin pointer! Another smaller pot leg, then some signs of bronze metal workings, buttons, then himself went off and found lots of pre dec including a 1962 florin, 1963 penny and a 1861 penny….. meanwhile I got stuck with digging the silver…. Behold a Alexander 3rd half hammered (Scottish) (1280-1286) a Henry 3rd half hammered (1216-1272) and a complete Elizabeth 1st (1580) 😅xx
Just as we finished the storm broke and we got some much needed rain, the perfect end to another amazing weekend xx
