Sunday’s Finds xx

Well after the excitement of yesterday.. we decided to go back to the field I found the Woad Grinder in.. still has stubble as being planted later with Sugar Beet… so had a gentle amble around enjoying the still quite warm day, this field is in the old Deer Park near the old Abbey, but finds were few and far between… still feel this field has more to give us tho! xx

First off a Clog strap, then a ‘medieval belt loop’ bobbin shot and another missile, musket balls, buttons, a weird coin, has some shiney bits on both sides.. thinking some kind of forgery! Then a range of toasted pre dec coins.

We are out agin tomoz, the fields near the castle I wanted to go in, apparently are flooded..so will have to lucky dip our other choices in the am xx

I agree with that might a forgery on the coin,
Now you should be getting back to the fields of yesterday-certainly had more tantalizing recoveries.
Though tomorrow is yet to come.
BTW-Don't consume that mushroom.

I know… i wanted to go back today.. but also we need to balance the fields around the shoot (no shoot on Sundays) so Sundays have to be the shoot fields !!! We may go back tomoz tho… 😃 xx
