A very damp and misty day today, but needed our fix, so off we went.

First off a strange little piece, then half a silver cuff link piece of a tack mount, 2 balls, another key, not as pretty as yesterdays, 3 pieces of bell metal plate, strange pointy chunky bit, pot leg, old pen knife, buttons, a nice little token initials WRE one one side, 2 pre dec, queen vic penny, 186?, 1949 ship half penny and my now obligatory silver… a bent cut hammered Xx

As he was still quite miffed following the whole Gold Coin business last week, I put a little consolation prize on his machine…. Oh how we laughed 😆…. xx

That gold is the delicious kind!

Great bunch of finds, as always, and great photos of the countryside.

Such a wide range of dates that you find.

Congrats!
Still silvering..... Awesome.

leprechaun strike upon himself's detector. ha ha.

More buttons.
Because I wasn't paying attention to a show featuring Vancouver Island and a portion of it about thier China Town.. ...
Old Chinese game involved bowl of buttons turned over to land on buttons.
Buttons outside bowls edge cleared away. Guess made at number of buttons under the bowl.
Bowl removed and buttons counted. Counted by fours(?) in the example demonstrated. .
(Looked on line for button bowls.
Found people decorating bowls with buttons. Oh boy.)

Great pictures!
They couldn't capture the cloaked figures just beyond sight range in the fog though...As if they knew or were Leprechaun warned..
Many figures passing through there over time might have benefitted much from a single coin at times.
Wonder how many had a clue any coin existed underfoot?

Speaking of figures.

You never disappoint the viewers in the finds department.
Well done on the silver link, and the cut half.

That's a crisp looking farthing token.
Great looking gold on the Deus.🤣

Himself also gets gold... it's only fair I think. :). England is so lovely...love to see the bits of history you and himself find...

Great recoveries Blossom, and your finds pictures, as always, are outstanding. :icon_thumright:
I love that photo of your house. :tongue3:
Cheers,
MM

Awesome!!! Congrats!!!

That Roman coin is amazing in its detail.
As usual, your pictures make "junk" look like treasures and treasures look like....really sparkly treasures!

The key is another Barrel Tap Key.

The 17th C Token (Farthing) is;

ROBERT WILLSON
MERCER IN NEWORKE
(Nottinghamshire)
