2 1/2 by 1 3/8 Serrated Kirk found by me in Pasco County Florida. This was soaked in mineral oil which really brought out the colors, I don't have any pictures of it unsoaked but it is still colorful just not too this extreme. I'm guessing costal plains chert. This will be my last "Sunday Artifact " post, from now on I'll just post these whenever. Thanks for all of you that looked and showed interest.

Notice something now:

several people have asked what bi-beveling is/involves. That one (bi-beveling being a Kirk trait that distinguishes it from other Early Archaic corner notches) illustrates it well. It's resharpened by beveling both sides of both edges. It's not always symmetrical -- how it ended up depends on where they were the last time they re-edged it.

FWIW

Such a cool point, thanks for showing it to us! Gives me hope that things like that are still out there waiting to be found.

That thing is insane. Beautiful the oil makes it pop like new. You know they were proud of that one.

That is without a doubt the most colorful point I have ever seen! That is a real beauty! Congrats, incredible find!!
