I'm a huge fan of the Sun Ray X1 probe. If you're chasing deep iffy signals, these probes will save you lots of digging. After digging your plug, run the probe around in the hole. You'll know right away whether you're chasing a deep coin as opposed to iron junk. These probes also make changing coils quick and easy.
I have two X1 probes available. The white probe mounted on the beige shaft is $240, and the short black probe on the black shaft is $325. The short black probe is a rare variation and is very late production as per the serial number of 4399. Both probes work great and have no issues. Either probe will fit any Explorer or Etrac. Your satisfaction guaranteed.
