4 hr into my hunt a faint repeatable 77 at 7 inches hmm ..:icon_scratch: well wtf I've dug everything else. You will notice why the signal was so low in pics .....because there was a freakin buffalo attached to the dime!!!!! Sweet ....old handcuff key and homemade silver ring! Sweet haul! The key could have been dropped by a cop long ago while in pursuit of a fleeing suspect. :tongue3:

Nice barber dime recovery! I found a merc once with a wheat penny stuck to it. I've still not figured out how to get the green off the merc where the two were touching.

1 part vinegar 2 parts baking soda let fizzle comes out cleeeeaaann! dont do if you enjoy what i call (historic patina) After rubbing off dirt on key I revealed l.v.r.r. adlake and serail # c13803
it is a Railroad lockbox key from Lehigh Valley Railroad. Awesome now i need to find the box lol

Great finds, love the rail road box car key.
Mostly see the switch (S) keys being dug up, not so much on the (C) keys. Congrats & HH !

Sweet , persistence paid off!

Sweet, great finds, I also found a mercury dime attached to a Buffalo nickel, it gave a low reading on my machine a 12-34, but I was also digging every repeatable signal. Anyway I love the key!! Great finds!!
