After several days of cloud cover, cold and rain, the Sun finally graced us with its appearance. Went to the local park and pickings were slim, clad clad clad. On the way home I decided to make a quick stop at an old county building that I struck silver, 3 dimes to be exact, on another occasion. Figured it was mostly played out, but the "mostly" is what got my attention. My patience payed off as the AT Pro hit on an 86-87 signal 4 inches down. The 4 inches worried me as the dimes were all 6-8 inches. Low and behold, out jumped a beautiful 1936s Washington. Oh yeah, brother!

The sun came out here too. After the mess. But, I think the sun should get fired for only doing half his job. :(

Congrats on the ray of sunshine that came from the ground!

Nice silver Washington ... Congratulations !!! It often amazes me when I find stuff at places that I thought I have hunted out. My only Seated came from a place that I had just about given up on.

Sweet silver !

Congrats man! I thought about you today, and wondered if you were getting out much. I even considered calling you.

I'm not surprised the quarter jumped out of the ground at you! It was drowning in all that rain water and thought your detector coil was a life preserver ! Congrats! Nice find!

Congrats very nice indeed.HH.

Ah yes the sweet sight silver.

Very nice.....

I have NOT found a silver Washington this year, although my friend has found some on our hunts. I did find a 1901 Barber and Standing Liberty Quarter, so I must not be doing something wrong. I still have 3 more weeks to find that silver Washington, and then I can quit for the year!!

There's only one word...persistence. Nice silver!

Nice it good to see something that will last not like all the junk they are making now if you don't find it in a week puff it's discolored or deteriorated beyond recognition
