Ok it's been raining for 2 days straight and I'm suffering from some cabin fever, so this post is a little premature. I'm not done by any means and hope this winter will reveal many more discoveries. This is the 1st time I've laid everything out together except for this months finds, also pictured in collage. I must say it's pretty over whelming. I hope you enjoy.

First off ,I honor you for answering every body's reply's . I know it can take some time [ for me at least]. Def, sounds like the CTX is worth the $ ; is it water resistant as well ? and being able to share programs is a great thing ' MOST' Minelab's I want are out of my price range esp, GPX series but a 30-30 might be worth the investment , I've been a Whites guy for over 10 years but now I am thinking about sipping some of the Minelab" Kool-aid". Thanks again for the quick reply. Davers

Good Lord, you been digging this summer! Your finds rival our finds for sure, in terms of both quality and quantity. Just keep up whatever your doing, cause you're doing something right!

Congrats on a GREAT display!

Cheers,

Buck

Thanks Buck! It was a hot one that's for sure. This represents 90+ trips to this camp with several days of 90+ temps. Just hard to sit on the couch when there's this many relics in the ground.

Thanks Davers , my pleasure. Just to add the CTX will not work in hot ground & yes it is waterproof . I've never owned one but I hear the T2 is as good if not better and has good success on hot ground.

That is a phenomenal year for sure in anyone's book! Congrats and thanks for taking the time to share them with us...

When you guys are in a large area do you use anything to mark where your swings end so you won't miss any undetected area as you swing coming back? That is.....swinging back and forth in 'rows' much like mowing hay. Do you just try to stay straight or use some method that is more thorough?

I grid in 30 yard passes with my lunch box at 1 end and markers like plastic water bottles at 15 & 30 yards. I move them as I go and always overlap my last pass by a foot.
