Started prospecting based on a lot of research and digging through state archives and have found some good ground on private property. Almost have the 4” dredge finished being build. I’m just a hair under 2 grams on 10 buckets of material sluiced. It’s addicting and a blast.

You just have to make the largest mess possible and leave needles etc all around your work area. No one here will bother you then..

I was told in Washington State that if you Stire up the water to a lengthy cloudy flume (turbidity) that you would get cited....... I guess I got took and I didn't follow up on this info ! Thanks for correcting me with the correct answer ! I'm 78 now so there's NO CHANCE of that ever happening ! I get my shorts in a bind every time when I listen to a friend that says that he knows about what your talking about and I don't follow up on the actual laws wording ! Life is to short to point finger's at any one but myself !

Yeah I dont have issues with that in GA. Friends own both sides of the creek so they own the bottom and control it from property line to property line. We are one of the two states that I know of that the land owner can own the river bottom if they own both sides of the river. So much so you cannot even put anchor/get out on most of our rivers/creeks. Louisiana being the other if you are familiar with their property laws.
