Out on vacation at the beach with my family, brought the AT Pro in hopes Id be able to squeeze in a few hunts in the dry sand. Hunting wet sand is just too much. First two hunts, not much luck except for a sterling cross pendant. Some pocket change here and there with the occasional piece of "junk" jewelery. Third hunt was a little better, wasnt findint much from the start but it slowly picked up. Plated gold necklace, some pocket change and then dad and i stopped to talk to one of the local beach detectorist to see how he was doing. He wasn't finding much but pocket change too. We talked for a few minutes more about our past finds and parted ways. My second signal after speaking to the local was a 41-42. Im thinking the usual ketchup packet, after chasing the target around in the sand for a minute, Boom! I found a ring! Put it in my pouch until I could get it looked at. Hunted a little longer and called it quits. Got back to the condo, cleaned it up and no markings on it anywhere. Hmm, im puzzled?. Looks like the real deal to me? Took it to get it checked out by a local jeweler this morning and sure enough, it is real!! Im stoked! 14K white gold with real diamonds! Was told it was likely an engagement ring. Either way, its my first beach gold and I couldnt be happier!
