Student Arrested For Passing Gas At Florida School

This kid can pass gas at will? Now that is talent!

Hey kid, what ya in for?

BBBRRRAAATTTTTTT Passin gas with out a license.

Resource officer must have has a slow day to arrest the kid, but I am not familiar with the circumstances for his arrest. If it was ONLY for passing gas and turning off computers, that is a bit overboard. A trip the the principals office or a few days detention would have solved the problem.

Such behavior used to be dealt with by a trip to the principal's office and perhaps a paddling. (...)
um, probably not a good idea in this instance (not when the area to be paddled can fight back.... ) :D :D

I know a young kid that threw a tantrum and literally tore up his room and part of the house.

His mother called the cops who arrested and placed him under a 72 hour observation.

While incarcerated, he was gang raped.

Stefan, if he was placed under observation, did the cops observe him getting gang raped?

I guess they didn't do much observing, but at least his mother didn't spank him!

No. There is an ongoing investigation and in the end, I suspect that the DA Report will come up empty.

The point to the story is that kids arrested at this early age are vulnerable and become victims which may result in mental problems as well as the potential for AIDS and other venereal diseases. Some may be forced into oral sex which is as bad as rape.

I know that these kids are responsible by their actions, but they are totally clueless of what the consequences will be.

I agree with you Stefan, this was draconian.

I know this is gonna sound kinda twisted, but something has got to be done ! I mean there are some kids in school that acually want to learn and try to make something of their future. Mabe this is the solution to the problem.
I mean yeah, kids are gonna be kids, but if they just keep on and on disrupting class, it's obvious that they aren't there for an education. I say keep doing this a few times and mabe these kids will wise up and acually decide to buckle down and learn something.
Just my two cents.

Yea But 13-years-old ?

If he was 17 I'd Agree he should be thinking about his Future.

in My opinion 13 year olds are still children in many ways.

Let's not make them grow up any younger then they already are,

I think this is The problem. Kids arn't allowed or expected to be kids anymore.

when I was thirteen I knew very little about the world
around me. I was still running around Playing.

How many over 50 here remember what "13" Was Like ?

I'm under 50, but if I would have done what he was doing in class at 15, I wouldn't have to worry aout being arrested, the nuns would have strung ne up!

I think that by this age they SHOULD know about the world around them ! Are they not in school so that they will be prepared for the real world when they graduate ? If they do not learn by this age that there are consequences to their bad behavior, they will just learn later, and have even worse consequenses.
I agree to let them be kids as long as they can, my oldest is now 12, and trying to grow up too fast, doing stuff that older teens are into. Not really bad stuff, just alittle more mature for her age.
Anyway what I'm trying to say is, if they don't learn to be responsible at this age, they probably wont be very responsible later.
