After yesterday, I had to leave work early to give the field another go. I just knew silver wasn't far away. I was digging like I was on fire even though this is my 4 day in a row. I hurt. But I finally got that silver & a rarer one too!

Penny - King John 1199-1216 - Moneyer: IOHAN M of Canterbury. Only my second ever King John Penny ;D It was bent at 90 degrees but I carefully straighten it (The line mark was already present.

Several Lead Tokens

5 Roman Coins

A rare 17th century token - emailed a friend & expert in tokens for an ID.

Buttons and more.

The large buckle was over a spade depth down!

Re: STUBBLE FIELD - HAMMERED>>> UPDATED ID FOR TOKEN

The small token (3rd picture bottom right with TNE) is cica 1660s:

Nathaniel Tucker at the Unicorn (Pub) in King Street Westminster, London. (London is a long way away & seeing as you could only spend it in that pub they rarely travelled very far)

Its a beer token ;D

Its a brass farthing. Normally if you didn't have more than 5 or so you couldn't spend them in the shop that issued them. So "its not worth a Brass Farthing".

Great finds as always. I really enjoy your posts.

Wow great finds..... I left England when I was 13 yrs old.... maybe it is time to get back to that wet and cold country ;D Keep up the good work, and keep showing us more.

God bless
Peter

nice finds,
better than the fields around liverpool.
all my fields still have the crops on them.
can't be for much longer though.

I just cannot believe the fantastic stuff you guys are able to unearth, through skill and the miracle "Location, Location, Location".

Great hunting! You must have an Artifact Room that's to die for.
