25+ years ago a friend and I were out scratching in the woods next to an old mental hospital out in the country in the middle of nowhere. I popped this thing out and at first I was like what the heck. Took it over to my buddy and he started freaking out thinking it was an old powder horn. I said pop the top off and I bet some batteries fall out. He looked at me like I was crazy but when he did sure thing 2 D's fell out. Don't know the best way to say it except it was a female pleasuring device !!! Somebody was out there before us

In 1983 I'm detecting at Cypress Jr. College, in Calif. Using my Whites 5900D2, with an extended shaft and hip mounted box I could really get that coil moving, which with that machine meant deeper finds.

Got a deep signal, and although there were people around the field, I started digging. Approaching 12" I finally got the target out (this was before they invented pinpointers), and became the proud owner of a 1902 Indian head penny.

Absolutely no idea why it was there...the college was built in 1966, and prior to that I believe it was cow pasture.
