Strange stone

I previously posted this stone in the "Today's Finds" section but was quickly reminded I would need some help identifying this stone so I decided to cross post.
Main question is man-made or natural?

looks like a grinding stone but some of that depends on where it was found, if in a river bed maybe not so much, floating in a farm field with flakes around and you got something

It was found on a rock ledge with tons of quartz all around if that helps. Nowhere near a river. All of the rocks in the area were much less dense and more sharp/ jagged
