hello was out with my whites vx3 today and was at a home site dating from 1800 to 1880 give or take. anyways here in fl there is no trace in the woods besides glass and iron in the ground so after a long day of nail and bullets i found this i think it is a neck broach but not sure any info would be cool and thankyou. also please don't pm me asking where the site is the owner does not want anyone else on the land i do have other spots if you are in Ocala though. than you so much for the help. god bless.

You said it has two clips? I think it is a Chatelaine, maybe Victorian. The large clip would go over the sash belt, while the woman would hang things from the smaller clip. Here is an image to illustrate.View attachment 2170354View attachment 2170359
wow this is very informative! thank you for the research and ill look deeper into this now i think you may be correct! and yes it has a smaller clip large clip is on top smaller on bottom both are on back .

You’re welcome. That is my guess anyway, though I could not see your pictures too well. . Here is a picture of the back and side view of the one I found three years ago. Sort of hard to see, but there are two clips with opposite open ends, if that makes sense. I thought money clip at first, but the two clips led me to find the chatelaines, which are unique little items, I think.
