I found this rock in a pile of unwanted rocks in Portales NM. The pile of rocks is very interesting but this one is crazy. I do not know where it was originally located. 20200111_101820.jpg20200109_161653.jpg20200109_161701.jpg

Cool! Sorry I have I’m a total beginner and rock hunting and I have a bunch of mine to try to identify two so if you come up with an answer I would love to find out I have something similar that I’d like to share. Mine were found in a river on my property in Massachusetts. Ps This is my first post! Good Luck, Linda

Looks like it could be one of several types of similar looking rock a limestone, dolostone, sandstone, quartzite etc., try putting some vinegar on it and look for bubbling/fizzing or better yet muriatic acid, if it bubbles/fizzes can rule out sandstone and quartzite. also try to scratch it with a knife.

Looks like vuggy quartz. Vugs are just holes in rock. Inside some of the holes, looks like druzy quartz, but hard to tell from picture.
