This ring was dug among the Hibernia,kg iii,kg ii coins and musket side plate. It was just as deep. Not sure if it dates the same but I can't find the matching marks on it anywhere. Seems solid gold but had possibly copper once in the groves of the designs. The mark is a crown then anchor then 14 then crown again. Any help would be appreciated. Seems crown was for gold and anchor for Birmingham and maybe 14 the fineness possibly?

Maybe they had ocean green enamel pain in it and the swirls and stuff represented waves. I'd clean it up a bit if it was mine, hope its not just plated junk, hard to tell for sure from pictures. Best way to know is to have it in hand ! Nice hunt :metaldetector: :treasurechest: :occasion14:

K1 - I find a lot of early 1900's and late 1800's Gold Rings. In my experience; 10K gold looks faded and worn, like yours does. 14K and above always comes out like new. You can get it tested at a local coin shop.

I thought it would come out a little shinier as well. In hand it does shine nice. It was so hard to get a photo without the glare. Took many to get them photos. Hope it gets solved but a welcome find nonetheless! [emoji2]

Very Nice find!! Wow, I love the old gold..! Seen that green, copper mix, in the 10k before.. anything is possible...being under for sometime..

To me it looks like a higher karat such as 14k and the green may have been enamel. Could be early 20th late 19th century. Good luck i hope u get the exact ID!

Congratulations on the gold ring, it has very interesting detail.

That's one cool ring, I'm no expert, but it looks old. I would think it is as old as the coins that you dug in the area. Awesome find :notworthy:
