I was actually searching a stream to see if the rain cleared out any arrowheads and didn't even have my metal detector. I spotted a quarter, then a dime and a few inches from the dime was this!

When I brushed away the leaves and scooped out the mud I found a marble, a small penny and most importantly what I think is a musket ball. It's very heavy for its size and it picks up on my MD....Can anyone verify?image.jpgimage.jpg

This isn't the 1st time I've stumbled up on strange finds. A while back I found some old skeleton keys inside a rusted can about 50 feet from my finds today.

I think that rolled edge penny thing is kinda neat. What does the back look like?

That is either a milk bottle opener...
Or paint can opener.

I won't swear to it, but it seems I remember opening cans of Spam with a key like that. And yes, I've been eating Spam that long :laughing7:

good at eye-balling those treasures, fella!

No, it is a sardine can opener.

^^That gets my vote.

I'm going with mini ball/musket ball on the round, heavy object. I have one that is very round, whereas yours is more uneven, but yours may have simply gotten misshapen on impact. Nice finds.
