Wherever there be treasure!
Detector(s) used
Older blue Excal with full mods, Equinox 800.
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
Spent four hours in the shallow water yesterday with the Eq 800 and 6” coil, strange but enjoyable day for sure. Winter winds had pushed the sand around and created some scalded areas down to the clay and gravel so I spent all of my time working these areas. Lots of coins but not much of anything else.

Good to see that equinox starting to get dialed in..I’m confident there’s more to come

This is an old beach area that I've hunted "a lot" in recent years, just really strange that I recovered so many modern coins with no silvers or pieces of jewelry. Just an unusual outing.

The 6" coil limited your depth, no doubt!

Had no issue with depth, 8-10" recoveries were common, some in that 12" range. Over these hard bottoms one doesn't have to get all that deep since the bottom is so dense, most targets not far from the surface, even the really older stuff. Actually, the small 6" coil performed very-very well.

When applying a multi-frequency machine there are only two ways to cover a lot of ground efficiently, horizontally & vertically, but only very rarely does the environment allow you to do both at the same time. :icon_thumright:

Still... a nice bowl of finds! Thanks for posting.
