Dang it... you're right!

I was looking at it and dividing by two, but you are absolutely correct, it's actually in multiples of 2's.

Roll it... first 3 digits you come to write down...
Then roll it again untill you get the first 4 digit number...
Then write that down after the other number...
Then pick up your phone and dial the whole number...

Explain to the person who answers... That the spirits of divine intervention guided you to make this phone call.

Then simply hang up :P

I think those numbers were computer memory sizes, if I remember correctly from my old DOS days.

I think it is a "Doubling Cube" for Backgammon. Here is one like it - the pair sold for $295.00!

Vintage 2" Gold Bakelite Backgammon Doubling Cube Pair, #'s from 2 to 4096 (06/27/2014)

For your viewing pleasure a 2" Bakelite doubling cube pair. So, you have a 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, and 64 on the first cube and 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, and 4096 on the second cube. Impress your friends with this 2" continuous doubling cube combination.
Thanks for looking!

More definitively, those are "powers of 2", not simply multiples of 2.

I put the cube on ebay today . Auction format - $6.00 starting bid - no reserve . I got an offer for $75.00 - I said no . 3 more people wanted me to do do BIN - I said no . I love it when this happens . It's a 7 day auction . This should be a good one .

I bought it at a garage sale last weekend for 50 cents . I just turned down 3 more BIN offers . I hope it goes good !

Wow great pic. Here are the numbered game pieces that I've dug and kept. The one at the bottom left is metal and not attracted to a magnet, the blue one to the right of it and inside the bow of the magnet is wooden, thanks:
