Strange Button ID Please

Dug this button in 1880's mining camp yesterday. Could some one please help with ID?? It's 5/8" dia. copper and seems to have a self attached rivet on the back. Thanks in advance

Hey PP, I'm not the button person, but since it is copper and has a self rivet back, I would think it would go into leather or denim (overalls.) Neat find Breezie

still going with some kind of leather rivet. Not terribly old in my opinion.
