✅ SOLVED Strange 1 1/2 - 2 inch copper oval /stumped

Hi all,

I'm having a hard time identifying what this object may be. Found it while detecting the pensacola bay beach. It's 1 1/2 - 2 inch oval that's solid copper. The object is very smooth and on the backside is concave and the bottom of my thumb fits perfectly into the slight indentation. The Front is smooth and bulges out slightly. Reminds me of a very old belt plate just smaller. Any help is appreciated.
