so, im at my dump bank yesterday.returning those ever present already checked halves. as the teller takes the bag off the machine i let out an involuntary groan.why the groan? it is because i have just gone thru 6 boxes of near skunks for a total of 4 lonely 40 per centers. and here i see much silver in the coin bag that the teller is taking off the machine.the groan is because i know i will not be able to get my hands on the silver. i have asked there previously if i could "buy back" the bag coming off the machine.NO WAY...GOES TO FED ONLY ONCE BAGGED. WEeelllll this is a teller i dont know. my mind is racing wildly.i said I SOMEHOW RETURNED THE WRONG SACK. my kids just spent several days sorting these out. and i just dumped their coin collection by mistake.NO THEY JUST CANT SELL THE BAG BACK. what about letting me look thru the bag and pick out the coins i want and replace with other half dollars from my car. WELL THEY WENT FOR IT!!! SO IM SORTING EM OUT IN FULL VIEW AT THE COUNTER. tryin 2 hurry and score and get out. i had to show the teller about the silver ones and how to tell the difference. something i hated to do. she seemed the ditzy type so prob little harm done. bottom line is left w 189 40 percenterz. boxes have been quite crummy lately. drastic times call for DRASTIC MEASURES. I dont like making up excuses but if it will gain SILVER AND AINT ILLEGAL IM IN
