Yes they have been heavily hunted since the only time you may detect there is from Labor Day to Memorial Day. At no other time can you get in there. But I have been hired to find lost rings, keys, etc from the beach and the water. If you lose something there they let you in to search for it. Maybe not now, but they used too. I had to have a legal eagle explain things to them. I haven't been there in a couple years.
