Headed out to Ct to hit a special site one last time..It has been hammered to death but i wanted to focus just roaming all the stone wall penned in areas far from the cellar..Not much at all but came upon one spot that had some activity..Ending up grabbing a,
Cool Colonial buckle:headbang:
Not sure if it's a shoe buckle or not it was bent pretty bad..It is more rectangle than most..
Couple buttons..One you can see the blue thick woolen coat that was worn.
Another small buckle and a few other relics..I was hoping for just 1 coin but it didn't happen..

Have fun out there:hello:

It's funny I also call them "stone walls" but around here if I ask anyone older person if they seen or know of anywhere there is any of them they have no idea what I'm talking about. Then if I say "old stone fences" then they usually instantly know what I'm asking about! [emoji2]

Yeah man funny you mention that the old timers around here also call them Stone Fences..
But this particular moment changed the way it was said forever i believe. It's Iconic..

As always I love the site pics best of all. You never disappoint in that regard, just look at that line of rocks... How cool is that ?

Good finds too JB.

PS I'd be hunting too if I only had that much snow.

OH look, no thanks guy is on banner, big surprise that is.

Tell me about it Ricky my boy!!

Nice buckle for sure. Crazy how there is still wool left after that many years. I know I have found old old buttons with wool as well.

NICE BUCKLE AND BUTTON FIND .....

Actually Alfred i might go back there one more time with "Big Johnny" juuuuuuust to make sure i leave absolutely no scraps behind.....

35k.gif when I was younger - knew a guy that would hike stone walls for miles and miles
he would find all kinds of goodies along them - remember he got a nice coin spill up against one where
it looked like the guy sat down to rest and lost like 6 LCs
