Looks like rocks to me. Gary

Did you figure that out just by looking at the picture? Good job, you are right, they are rocks, but i already knew that, it was stated in the title, you answered a question that wasn't asked.
I only have a little knowledge of identifying Indian artifacts, which is why was asking on here, you obviously have none (which means you should've moved on), or you would have recognized a resemblance to a hide scraper (top right), grinding stones (top and middle left) game balls of some type (remaining)

Quartzite pebbles. Most numerous of any type of rock around me. Must not be many in the west. Your not the first I seen ask about them. Those shapes are natural.
As far as the scraper. Dunno.

Creek pebbles, I have a stream full of them.

Natural rocks just like ToddsPoint suggested.

Justin, they are just rocks, not artifacts. All you said in opening post was "stone tools?" Todd gave his opinion which was correct. If your going to attack members when they give their opinion on rocks in thread asking what they are just because you disagree your going to find you cant post.

Please post by TNet rules.

Like I said, I found all these in a half sunken barrel, I didn't hunt them down and collect them myself, it doesn't bother me either way, what does bother me is I thought I was going to get an informed opinion, like what to look for, why they arent, why they could be, etc. If somebody tells you don't look at the sky today, you're gonna want to know why, right? Otherwise you would think that person doesn't know what he's talking about. Someone answered explaining what they were, quartzite. Next time I will just overlook the one word answers.
Thanks rick67.

You got informed opinions, they are rocks, they have no signs of being worked by or used by man in pictures posted. You look for signs of being worked or used, signs of wear, or being flaked or ground, the one sign artifact hunters dont want to use as a sign is how it fits a human hand.

"The one sign they don't look for is how...". Now that is info!!! The rest too, but that is advice you don't forget, especially since there is about 300 more pounds of of this to go through.

It looks like I have about 200 pounds of quartz, quartzite (some gold in color) and crystals, some chunks have green crystals I them, worth anything?

Your post title - ''Stone tools?? '' (no text in the body)

& you don't like factual one word answers, that's funny.

then explain to me how you know an answer is factual unless you find out the reasoning behind it, and if you know an answer is factual, then it seems to me you wouldnt have to ask the question in the first place. your reply seems to say that you do accept factual one word answers, so lets say you come home one day, your house is completely empty, and there is a guy in a moving truck in your driveway. You ask him if he stole everything you had and loaded it in the moving truck, he says no. do you accept that one word answer as a fact and let him drive away, or do you find out a little more information first?

how would anyone learn anything by going with one word answers?

to end this, "rocks" wasnt even a correct answer, turns out, they are quartzite. quartzite is not a rock. i would have accepted a wrong answer. you are defending a wrong answer.

i find that, how did you put it, oh yeah, funny.

I have a question in regards to the "scraper". I know these ancient people had time. But I think it would have been awful hard to make that tool out of that material. No flint around?
Not an expert so I'll ask: aren't there fairly clear indications of shaping by humans on even prehistoric tools?

Maybe the barrel was used as a Deadman or Anchor for something bigger.

don't know what it is, I said it resembles one I found online. As for indications of human shaping, my thought on that is, after so much use and time, things wear down and wear off. How many times have you had to use a magnifying glass to read an engraving on something from just fifty years ago, or seen tombstones that are almost completely smooth? This just doesn't look naturally shaped to me. I thought I remembered something like there are no straight lines in nature, or perfect 90 degree angles. Here are some more pics
